Raise some roofs for the last Mani Monday post of 2012!!! (: Sorry I have been MIA, but this 2013 I will be back and on this blog 24/7 (well not really since I need to sleep and eat). Right now, I am on winter break and probably scrambling to finish my EE and Biology IA...pshh who said I wasn't procrastinating. But without further ado, the last 2012 Mani Monday :

Like the caption says, this L'Oreal VIP Status nail polish is absolutely stunning in color with its metallic blue-grey with hints of sparkle within it. It is perfect for the winter season and for evening attire because it is so sultry and perfect for a hint of color with your little black dress. However like the brand is, it will chip off in a day or two. But, right now mine is lasting me about a week! How? I used a top coat, which I found tedious at first but now recommend it as a step added to doing your nails. This will maximize the wear of the nail polish and saves you time from re applying. This nail polish is only $2.99 on sale at my local Ulta and is a great dupe for the high end O.P.I  James Bond Skyfall Collection, Live and Lets Die :

As you can see both are very similar in color; however, this O.P.I nail polish has more sparkle into it while the L'Oreal nail polish has a subtle hint of sparkle. But if you want a dupe for a good price then I would recommend the L'Oreal nail polish in VIP Status and remember to but top coat!

Hi! Long time no talk, I'm sorry for being M.I.A! So many things have been happening with planning a social event for my friends and I, IA's and EE's all due before the world ends. So, I am posting a much delayed Mani Monday post!

Anyways I picked this nail polish up at my local Ulta on Black Friday. Funny story, my mom,  sister and I were at Ulta at like 2 am because my sister wanted to buy something that was on their ad. So, I got this nail polish and an Orly's nail polish too for a good deal with my coupon.

This color is very summer and pretty; however, the thing I don't like about L'Oreal nail polish is that they come off very easily. Like after a day, I already saw my nail polish coming off... not happy :( But, I can deal with chipped nail polish, but the color is very pigmented!

This week's Mani Monday is a beautiful forest, shimmery green nail polish. I love Rimmel London's Lasting Finishing Pro nail polish because their brush is wide making it faster to apply the nail polish. I love this deep green color because it is very in trend for fall and have that gold shimmer effect that I really love. Also, the container is very cute (: I would definitely recommend these because they do last up to 10 days and give a beautiful rich color.

So if you seen my blogpost of my catch up photo diary, you would see that I recently purchased two O.P.I nail polishes from Ulta for $12.00 .... good deal ... you must go and check it out! I was not originally planning on buying this nail polish because I found an Essie one similar to this on sale for $5.99, but I changed my mind because it was smaller and the same price.

I absolutely love this color!!! Like the caption says it is purple with gold flakes making it look majestic. I would recommend putting multiple coats if you want the bottle color. If you want a subtle sheen then do one coat. This nail polish is perfect for the fall because of its deep color. Just absolutely gorgeous, and this being my first O.P.I nail polish ... I must say that I'm impressed and in love(((:

My nail polish haul at Ulta this past Sunday with my sister and her friend. I spent way too much money for these ($18.00) but there was  a good deal with selected O.P.I nail polishes (2 for $12) and L'Oreal which were $2.99 each!!! Such good deals! 13 Days of Halloween: Mani Monday - Witchy Purple

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear $2.59 at Ulta

My nails aren't necessarily Halloween themed/designed, but it really reminded me of a color associated with witches. This nail polish dries moderately fast and is true to its title, it is hard as nails! This Deep Purple reminded me of a witchy purple that is associated with Halloween but still can be worn throughout the year! It is pigments though I had to put 2 coats to get a deep effect. Plus I did notice that there was some sparkly glitter within the polish if your shine your nails toward the light. The glitter to me is rainbow but I could be wrong.

Money Saver : Nail polish Swatches

Money is a huge deal for me since going to college is going to cost a lot, so I try to save here and there. So this is the nail polish swatches that I found to save money without costing the extra buck, two or five bucks to buy those plastic finger nail swatch wheel when you have... index cards!

This will not only save you money, but will also help keep you better organized, because on the plastic nail polish swatch wheel there is no room to write down the names of the nail polish and with the index card you have the freedom to to do whatever you like with the swatches. So in summary, just whip out some paper or index cards and use them to swatch your nail polish instead of buying a swatch wheel ! (:

Maybelline Color Show Nail polish : Chiffon Chic

I am currently obsessed with nail polishes! I hate the process of getting it on perfectly, but I love the colors though so I have to deal with it (: So, I recently purchase Maybelline Color Show nail polish in Chiffon Chic and I must say that I am actually really happy with this purchase. It's like Essie or China Glaze polishes for a better price.

So nail polish doesn't require that many coats to get the color, it only took me one to two coats! Also, it is a very good price at $2.47 at my local Walmart. I love this color because my nail polish collection is currently all pinks and reds, and this nail polish is a beautiful lilac/lavender color that also can look like a pink too depending on the light. It does come out like what nail polish in the container shows and I absolutely am pleased with it and will be going back for more Maybelline Color Show nail polishes (:

Above is a picture of it in use outdoors, I love the color oh so much and love the fact that I don't have to waste much of the product by putting multiple coats to achieve a solid color look.
