My favorite thing about going back to school are the agendas! I just love writing, highlighting, color coding or doodling in it! Agendas are the perfect way to stay organized during the school year and are highly recommended. Here are some of my favorite agendas:

Kate Spade 17- month agenda ($36.00) : hard cover, cute design, monthly calendar, celebration section, elastic for closure, interior pockets, and tabs. However the writing space isn't that much. Also, this agenda is bit on the pricey side.

Lilly Pulitzer Jumbo Agenda ($34.00) : hard cover, 17 month agenda, again cute design, monthly calendar, sticker sheet, pocket folder, and tabs. This jumbo agenda is perfect for people who write a lot in their agenda and need more writing space!

Vera Bradley Student Agenda ($18.00) : 20 months agenda, pockets, stickers, schedules, fun holidays and conversion tables, note area, flexible cover, elastic band closure, tab,  and cute patterned design.

Artist Circle Daily Agenda at Sakroots ($20.00) : Nature feel, address book, notebook,  hard cover, 17 months, elastic closure, and stickers. However again not enough lines for detailed notes.

Horseshoe Academic Planner from Amazon ($20.00) : three year snapshot view, note pages, special days, future planning, telephone/address section, hard cover, and 100% recycled paper. However, the inside isn't as pretty as the other planners, and there is no tabs with the months on there. I like the exterior though. So cute!

At-A-Glance Academic Planner ($17.99) : 12 months, past and future months reference, holiday listings, 3 year overview calendars, event calendar, contacts, notes, tabs, and more writing room. This planner company was what I used in the past and absolutely loved them. Their tabs are laminated for they won't rip and they have cute interior design.

Some places to shop for inexpensive academic agendas:
Target (cute planners there! and moderate price)
Walmart (cheap, good quality, adorable planners there! both small and large)
Staples/Office Depot (a bit  pricey, but good quality planners..dupes found at Walmart)
Barnes & Nobles (last I check, they had a table full of planners)

How to make your own agenda:
1 journal, small notebook, notebook, etc.
pens

Write the date on the lines of your notebook or journal, and write the subjects and homework there. That simple!

Making your own journal allows you to customize, have as much room as you want and doesn't constrict you in fitting stuff in certain area! This can also act as an "extension" planner for those that doesn't have much lines to write details about assignment, appointments, etc.
