One of my new year resolution for 2013 was to get fit, and lets say that I kinda have been slacking. I have decided to get my bits (not you know what (; ) together and man up to get fit for this summer before I go to college. Getting fit and healthy is something we should all strive for and I know it won't be easy because excercising is never easy but something we need to do if we want to have a good body and live a healthy life. So follow me and lets all get fit and healthy this 2013...and make all the boys come crawling (hehe).
My fitness plan:
1.
Eat Healthy:
-NO food consumption after 7.00pm ~ not only will just give you unwanted fat during those late night when we have to do homework and start stress eating, but also it will slow down your metabolism. If you are stressed, drink a hot cup of tea or water because they warmness can help sooth your brain. Still stressed, take a walk or excercise.
- Drink 6-8 cups of water a day ~ This will help eliminate bad breath, cleanse your skin, and all sort of good things for your body. What I do is bring 2 bottles of water with me to school because whenever I have a test, drinking water helps calm me down (weird huh). Also, during school or work is when we tend to not drink water because we don't have time or we lean towards the sugary drinks so one motivational tip is to put water in a cute water bottle that you would want to keep drinking out of because it will not only save the planet but help you get healthy! Adding lemon to water is healthy for you too but don't eat too much lemons because they can make your teeth very sensitive.
- Limit them sugary drink ~ I'm a popaholic. I absolutely love drinking soda even though I know they are bad for me. So this year I am on rehab, absolutely no soda and pop. Soda and pop are really bad for you because so many chemicals are put into them that makes them unhealthy. Not to mention they will give you acne. True story, my godmother poured Sprite down the toilet and it cleaned her toilet bowl...ew..you don't want that in your body. So ditch the soda and go for something like green tea (which is good for you too!) or a fruit smoothie if you want something sugary.
- Limit the processed food and go natural ~ they say the less ingredient on the back of food product, the healthier because that means that they have less chemicals in them. Don't resort to eating carbohydrate so much because they break down to glucose and eating way to much can cause diabetes. Balance your diet with a ton of leafy green and fruits. I know it sound unappetizing but I am serious processed food is usually a cause of obesity and other diseases. Leafy green and fruits give you vitamins that will help your skin, beauty and body!
2.
Excercise:
- Excercise Early ~ I read in Cosmo that excercising early will help you not only get you upin the morning but make you less likely to become lazy in the afternoon when you put it off. So, since I have school during the week and really don't want to excercise in the afternoon (who does), my plan is to:
5.00 am Run on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes
5.30 am Change/Get ready for school
6.00 am Breakfast and Finish up homework
I know this will be hard because who likes to wake up this early but really for any excercising you need to push yourself and make yourself get up and excercise because it will really pay off in the end. Also, excercising early can help get it out of the way so you won't have to worry the rest of the day.
- SWEAT! ~ Yes, this sounds very unappealing, but my rule now is if you don't sweat, you ain't excercisng because yes they are some workout like targetting certain body parts that you don't sweat but are sweating internally meaning...pain in the body. So really if you ain't feeling the burn, you ain't pushing yourself hard enough. Mix up your workout by doing outdoor activity too like biking, hiking, swimming, etc. because sun gives vitamin D which is good for you too. Just make sure to slatter on the sunscreen.
- Just keep moving ~ Movement everyday may seem like it isn't helping your body but it is because moving works your body fat so don't be a computer/couch potato...move every hour or so...it can just be taking a break and walking the around the house/office or go excercising. These are especially good breaks if you are stressed becasue they help work the stress out and keep you away from stress eating.
