First Day of School! (Part 1)

*not my video, from youtube
** cuteness :) hopefully your first day of school went well

First day of school today.....let me tell you, 5.30 am is not a good time for me and now it is all over, my last first day of high school :( Today was an eventful day, the school didn't turn on the air conditioning, we have new very strict rules, and my locker is on the other side of the school! Oh, did I mention I already have a ton of homework? Yeah, just my welcome gift I need. However, I do have some good new....I PASSED MY ROAD TEST!!!!! *raise the roof* Finally! I was so happy when I finally passed; it was all about confidence which taught me to always feel confident in what I do and not to give a care what other people think. Well its 10 pm and I'm sitting here trying to finish my essay....not going so well and I feel like I am going to pull an all nighter...on the first day, yay. Well I did have a can of Mountain Dew and a cup of coffee so I am buzzed with coffee! I might be able to start my A day homework...ha. Here is a play by play if you guys are so interested in what happened on my first day :)

1st hour: Was actually early to Chinese, came about 10 minutes early, but actually stepped into class about 3 minutes before because I walked around with my friends. Found out we had new rules which include no eating, drinking, or chewing gum while I had half a pb&j and water out on my table....awkward. Had to do a 2 minute presentation demonstrating we did our summer homework....more awkwardness. Found out my locker was on the other side of school...moped

2nd hour: Sat in a room of 40 kids in Biology that was a sauna. Got 4 homework assignment and freaked out when we were going to get quizzed randomly... :/

3rd hour: Sat seriously contemplating whether or not to drop to SL Chemistry after hearing how the seniors last year did on the exam. Died a little when I didn't understand what was going on and died a bit more when I learned I had more homework. Dropped my nectarine on my planner while attempting to write something and eat my nectarine.

4th hour: Had an early dismissal for my road test while telling everyone it was really for a doctor's appt.

Road Test: Sang to myself while parking, freaked when there was a ton of cars on the highway and I was told to merge.

Well yep now I am trying to finish my essay and hopefully get to start on some homework. Wish me luck and hopefully you had such a great first day or if you are like me great first day part 1.

Failed My Driving Test

Yesterday was the day I took my driving test. I was super super nervous because I didn't want to fail, but end up I did anyways and it was embarrassing. I did the worst parking I have ever done and my dad was trying to argue these 2 points that took about 30 mins. What was worse was that I had to sit in the car the whole time and the girl before me who passed came back and more people came to the parking lot waiting to take their driving test. I was so ashamed. I only told 2 people that I was taking the  test and good thing I did because there was so much expectation that I would pass and end up I didn't. I failed and I didn't even get to go on the road. It didn't hit me very hard until I got home and I exploded into tears and was so miserable for a couple of hours. I never wanted to take the test again because I was afraid of failing.

So on our way to dropping my sister off at soccer practice, my dad brought my mom and I backed to the testing place to let me practice again and I did everything perfectly since I had experience on how they were going to test me. He also taught me a valuable lesson that I am beginning to understand and want to use. He said that never feel intimidated by anyone; they are here to help you. The worse they can do is say no to you. They aren't trying to be mean and they can't be biased. My dad was trying to help me get past the fear of what other people might think of me because truthfully I am intimidated by strangers like I am afraid of what they might think of me, but after talking to my dad I am trying to be less afraid of what other people might think because I am only hurting myself if I give into what other people want. I need to think of myself and what I want, and I want my license (: Also, I realized that failure doesn't mean that I am a failure in life; it just mean that I made my life more interesting by having an obstacle and something to work for like a journey. Also it is a great story to tell the future children. (: I am going again next time, but with a greater confidence and getting past the parking! Has anyone else ever failed their driving test?
