13 Days of Halloween Series : D-I-Y Costumes

Today my friends and I are having this huge hangout/party thing where we are going to be making our costumes! Making your own costumes not only help save money but also show originality and creativity! This year my friends and I are being obese sheeps!!! (LOL) So here are some easy D-I-Y costumes that incorperate everyday clothing pieces that after Halloween can be worn as part of your wardrobe so you won't have to toss it out or keep it in the basement collecting dust. So here are some D-I-Y costumes from different stores we usually shop for our clothes (: *note: these are my opinion of the costumes but feel free to mix, match or get something else (:

Dotted Bow Back Dress | Pointed Bow Flats in Black or Nude
70 Denier Ribbed Knit Tights | Light Pink Glittered Nail Polish
Matte & Shimmer Blush
Forever 21 Ballerina : This look is completed with the trendy ballerina bun which can be down either by cutting a sock or using a hair donut! Then having a glittery light pink polish will add a little sparkle to the outfit while I feel that the makeup should be natural, dewy and a hint of blush shall help with that (:

Leopard Fuzzy Hat | 2-pack 40d tights | leopard ballet flats
leopard print cardigan | plain black long sleeve top
leopard print jeans | black organza flared skirt | leopard print shoes
leather black boots

H&M: Leopard or Cheetah : this a 2 outfit setting depending on which appeals to you more. First outfit is the black top with the leopard jeans and knee high black boots and the second is the leopard cardigan with the flared organza skirt, tights and leopard flats or shoes. Crimped hair add some edginess of a leopard or cheetah and you can use the leopard hat from H&M or find some ears from your local Halloween store. If you want some more leopard/cheetah, get some leopard hair extensions and clip it into your hair (:

Plaid Flannel Western Shirt | Stitched Cowboy Boots
Dark destroyed jegging | Braided Leather Belt | Fringed Bag
Cowboy Hat

American Eagle : Cowgirl : For this, braids are usually the typical cowgirl hairstyle. Add a bandana to add some cowgirlness to the outfit having fly aways to ensure the down to earth girlyness.

7 row chain and faceted bead necklace | leather motor jacket
long white sleeve shirt | metallic, crackled black leggings
side zipped riding boots | wide two tone ring | 7 ring set
metal aviator sunglasses

Express : Motocyclist    This edgy biker look must have the leather moto jacket and the combat, black boots. Adding heavy metal jewelry such as rings and chains would help toughen up the look. A white bandana also helps toughen up the look too. Use of a smokey eye and maybe an eyebrow tattoo is the brownie points on top!
